Lucas and Mommy Day

At the end of Christmas break I was off on a Friday and Marcus and Thomas still could go to school/daycare so I was able to have a special day with Lucas.  We went to the Perot Museum of Science in Dallas.  First we started our day with breakfast at Brewed.  Lucas wanted me to take a picture of his hot chocolate they made it really pretty.

This series of pictures shows his favorite thing at the museum.  You draw an image on a touch screen of whatever design and colors you choose then you send the image to an LED light set up on a bicycle wheel and the image is projected.   Lucas did this about 5 times.  He wanted to build one at home but I had to say sorry this is way to advanced for Mommy and Daddy to put together.

 Playing some electronic drums.

 Running to beat the dinosaur!

Over the past months I do see that going from 2 kids to 3 has been a little tough and adjustment for Lucas.  My attention is divided just a little more.  So it was wonderful to have some time with my oldest son who is off in kindergarten so many hours a week.  I loved letting him pick every exhibit to spend time on and focusing on him.  He has already developed a love of video games on PBS games and the Kindle which I don't get or enjoy.  I know he will go in different directions from me and I want to be intentional about learning about what he is interested in and supporting him.  Holding these precious moments of his child hood close to my heart.  Love you my Lucas!
