We took a much needed "staycation" to Greatwolf Lodge in Grapevine Sunday April 15 - Monday April 16. It was great! About 45 minutes away. It is an indoor/outdoor water park where the price of admission is paying to stay a night in the lodge. The boys did great and started swimming a little underwater the first day. Lucas could go on the big tube rides with Giam and I. They even had some medium size slides for Marcus. Below is the view from our room.
Marcus missed his usual nap time of ~1:00 the first day we were their but he conked out with Daddy after swimming. He is still my baby :)
When you weren't at the water park the had a fun quest game kids could play all over the lodge called Magiquest. The boys each got a wand that the staff programmed and they could use it to open treasure chests and turn on displays. We had to help them with the clues but Lucas got pretty good at it by the end.
Greatwolf Lodge is very family oriented. They even have a little show around 8:00 and then someone comes out to read a bedtime story. Great way to spend time with our boys away from distractions. Hope to go back again!
