Haven't posted in a while. Here is a snapshot of our summer activities. When we could we spent a lot of time swimming and playing outside. Some of our indoor activities were from a Magic School Bus Science Club. The neatest has been making your own volcano from paper mache and baking soda and vinegar. Putting the newspapers over a 2 liter coke bottle.
Painting.
Adding the baking soda.
Watching the explosion! The formula the directions gave didn't really work. We just kept adding more and more baking soda and vinegar and it started going.
Another project was one discovering the properties of water.
The boys had fun using a pipet, test tube, food coloring, and oil and water to see how they mixed.
Lucas went to vacation bible school at my mom's church at the end of June. This is a picture of him in his shirt. Only picture I took. He ended up loving VBS and not wanting to go back to his old school.
The boys had a lot of fun in the backyard playing with the water hose and putting the baby pool under the slide to make a water slide. By the end of the day when we were all sick of being inside it was a great way to cool off. They really entertained themselves.
Bruiser! When we were in Marble Falls to meet cousin Jeri Marcus decided to jump across the hot tub and bash his nose. It looked bad but he was tough and only cried a short time then he was back in the hot tub. Below are day one pictures.
Day 3 pictures.
Day 4 pictures. Yes he went to school with double black eyes that week.
Marcus started riding a bike with training wheels all by himself. Lucas also started riding a bike without training wheel all by himself. Need to get some pictures of him. I love that my boys love to ride bikes we have enjoyed some family bike rides around the neighborhoods and I am looking forward to more.
We have gone to Burger's Lake 2 times this summer. The boys had a great time swimming.
Random cute picture.
Swimming pictures. We spent our time between Gigi's pool and the YMCA.
The boys took swim lessons together at the YMCA in July. They did well but they learned the most during free swim time with me in the pool.
