Just an update on our activities for most of January 2013. All of the pictures are from my I-Phone. It is so convenient. I don't know when I will use my regular camera. Here is a sweet shot of them watching a show. Proof for later that they did more than fight each other as children.
Anna

Lucas

Even little Haven held a sparkler!
The second weekend in January we spent a beautiful day at the Fort Worth Nature Preserve. Not as good of hiking as the Sam Houston National Forrest near Houston but we will take it. They also had some reptiles on display. One of the employees gave a talk about Turtles.
I am leaning towards a reptile for our next pet since we are not ready for the responsibility of a dog. I was hoping for one but every time I ask the boys Lucas wants a turtle and Marcus wants a lizard. So I guess we have 2 in our near future.
Giam grabbed some long grass and taught them to chew on the ends. They loved it.
I spotted 2 armadillos walking in the brush. When I pointed them out to the boys they made so much ca-motion trying to see them the armadillos scurried away. You can see it if you enlarge the picture
Just a picture of the boys being sweet to each other.
We visited the Fort Worth Children's museum with Anna and Haven one Monday. I actually had some cash and paid $2 for the kids to go inside the wind machine.
Little Haven wanted out about half way through. Luckily it only last about 45 seconds.
The last weekend of January was the first weekend of the Fort Worth Stock show and Rodeo. We checked out the stock show part and the carnival rides with Primos Diego and Juan down from Plano. Sorry not a lot of animal pictures but some good ones of the rides.
Bumper cars!
Diego and Tia Laura!
Big slide!
I love Lucas' face in this picture if you enlarge it. Pure happiness!
Marcus was a little too short for the roller coast so he got to drive some cars.
Another thing we started in January was indoor swim lessons at Sigma Swim school thanks to a groupon. I wanted the boys to have a little refresher before summer. So far they have really liked it. I think the instructors are better than at the YMCA. We will see if they have one stroke down by the end of it. It is only 2 x a week for 4 weeks.
Marcus has voiced that he doesn't want to do soccer this Spring but wants to do baseball. We picked up this baseball cap at TJ-MAX and he was so excited to wear it. I think it is also because the child rapper he likes wears baseball caps. More on that later. I was hoping since the boys are so close they would do the same sports but Lucas wants to do soccer again and now Marcus has started talking about baseball. I foresee lots of driving around in my future:)
