Marcus turns 4!

Marcus' last night as a three year old, about to go to sleep with his faithful friend "puppy".  This little guy asks for a real dog about every other day.  It tugs on this mommy's heart but we are so not ready for a dog as much as we would all love one.  I keep telling him when Thomas is 3 we will get one.  I know he will be the kid who has the dog following him around and sleeps and eats with it :)  When we are at a park and he sees someone walking a dog he immediately starts following them then asks if he can pet there dog.  One little pet and he is satisfied.  It is very cute to watch.  I just have to keep a close eye on him because in the hurry to pet the dog he disregards where is mommy is and will be following it away from me.

Marcus' 4 year Stats
Weight: 39 lbs 6 oz, 78%
Height: 42 inches, 83%
Blood pressure: 100/57
Passes his vision screening
Hearing screening: heard all the beeps on his left, none on the right, the pediatrician wasn't concerned and said we would just check next year.  I don't think he completely understood what the nurse wanted him to do the first time on the right.
He was very brave getting his shots and just cried a little :)

Marcus followed his big brothers footsteps and asked to have his fourth birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.  Yea!  No work for me except an online reservation.  We had his party on Saturday June 1 so daddy could be there before leaving for Abuello's 85th birthday in Paraguay, SA.  He had a few friends from school and family there to celebrate.   Look at that smile getting ready to hit the games with his big friend Mathew.

He had a HUGE cookie cake with a baseball and bat on it.  He loved how big it was.

Family picture.

He loved being the center of attention and was happy to see Chuck E. come around and bring his crown.

Sweet boy chose his big brother to go into the ticket wind machine with him.

Playing with his new foam baseball bat form Tortia.
He opened presents from us when we got home.  He received a bow and arrow, and army gun, and new cowboy boots.
Aiming for the target.

I've got to say some extra prayers for him each day.  When he grows up he says he wants to be an "Army Guy" to get the "bad guys".
In all his gear.

His real birthday June 7, landed on a Friday a school day.  I was still on maternity leave so I was able to bring cupcakes up for his class at lunch time.  All the kids sang "Happy Birthday" to him.  He insisted on passing out the cupcakes to all the kids.

Daddy was gone so the night of his birthday we met Gigi, Aunt Kelli, Anna, and Haven at Gigi's pool.  I think this was the first time Thomas got in the water.

Mommy and the Birthday boy after his party.
My Marcus at 4 you are all boy!  One of your favorite things to do is wrestle with Daddy or Lucas.   Lately you have started saying this cute thing "I suggest" like "Mommy I suggest we ride bikes."  I was wondering where you got it and then I heard myself saying it.  You love your little brother and give him hugs and kisses all day long.  You have tried soccer and T-Ball for one season each and say you don't want to play anymore.  Your favorite thing was the snack after each game.  We are thinking of signing you up for a martial arts class soon now that you are 4.  I'm trying to keep you away from anything to do with football for as long as possible.  You are not too crazy about school.  Sitting still and staying on a task is very hard for you right now.  Praying hard for teachers in your future who really know what little boys are made of.  You have a great memory and tell us little details or stories from the past that we barely remember.  Lucas is by far your best friend and you call him "Lukie".  You two play/fight together all day long.  It makes you so mad if he interrupts you but you two always make up quickly.  You are friendly and say "Hi" to people out in public all the time.  You have told me you love God.  I hope each day you know how much God loves you.  Your family loves your heart, your spirit, your loud voice/cry, you mischievous smile, and your energy.  You make our family complete.

Hope these three are close forever:)
