Lucas learned so much in Spanish immersion this year for kindergarten. He also became very good at reading in English too. The Spanish Immersion program had a showcase for all the grades at the end of the year. Here is Lucas' saying his line then dancing with his class to Bamboleo by the Gypsy Kings. He did a great job.
This is Lucas on his last day of Kindergarten at Burton Hill Elementary in Fort Worth Texas. It was a long drive but even now just a few months looking back I see was a sweet small school Burton Hill was. I'm thankful for it as the place he started his elementary career. He did so well being nervous at the start of the year then walking in each day like a pro. He behaved so well each day, he worked hard on things that challenged him like writing daily in Spanish in his journal. He had a sweet group of children to learn with each day and Mrs. Campos was a fun teacher. His beast friend was Isabelle Reyes, who we first met on a soccer team at the YMCA. They have kept in tough this summer a little we will see if they can continue. Love you Lucas! I hope you enjoy learning for your lifetime and keep working hard on things that challenge you.
